Dragon Age Inquisition: A Mass Effect’s take on Skyrim
I have been aware of the Dragon age game series and have tried playing them before. My main problem was that I had already played the other games Bioware had made at the time most notably the Mass Effect games. I was very used to have the speech intertwined with the dialogue. however with the version of Dragon Age I played on the 360, a lot of the dialogue was missing from the NPC’s. To me it felt like I was playing a cheap version of a game where I was expecting the same level of details & quality that you got with the Mass Effect games.
As the main trilogy of the Mass Effect series has completed and now the games have been made to feature on the newer generation of consoles I thought I would keep an eye on this game. Bioware have definitely taken the effort to harness the power of the next-gen consoles. The difference between the PS4 version and 360 version is quite vast – path ways will look hidden on the PS4 with all the foliage on-screen, however the 360 version looks bare and barren; even the grass just looks like a load of green paint has been thrown onto the ground.
From reading the rear cover of the box of the game I get an immediate feeling I was going to be playing a Medieval version of Mass Effect. The decision and conversion systems are still in place allowing you to choose what you want to say to the characters which make it just like Mass Effect, more immersive.
So far I have sunk about 72 hours into this game and love the fact I’m probably still nowhere near from finishing the game.
