Tiny Troopers Joint Ops – Quick Play

Back in the day I loved the Cannon Fodder games, but for me they were stupidly difficult. This was one fo the first few games I learned how to use a mouse to play a game with, way before Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament came on the scene.

Roll on 2016 and I saw Tiny Troopers as one of the free games on Playstation + so I thought I would give this a go. The game is essentially just a 3D version of Cannon Fodder done in a simplistic 3rd Person-top-down view. The controls are very simplistic, the left-stick to move and the right-stick to aim your weapon.

During each level you have a set of objective to complete, this could range from killing all enemies to destroying all buildings within the level. The game is very simple to play and can be one of them which will be hard to master.

The game features a Zombie mode which is essentially an Endurance mode

As you progress through the game you can upgrade your squads abilities ranging from improving their weapon accuracy to increasing the range they can hit enemies. This is really needed for the later missions as they enemies do become increasingly more challenging.

Upgrades do cost so that means some replayability

Overall it’s a good game and will tide me over until I can have another proper go on FFXV
