So I bought myself a WiiU
I’ve been keeping a close eye on the WiiU and it’s finally got to that point where I thought I would treat myself to one and see what the fuss is about.
Fortunately I’ve had the expectation that this hardware won’t offer blistering GFX’s and it’s more on par with an Xbox 360. That didn’t bother me as I’m more concerned with the game-play these gamers offer, I wanted something a little different than the run of the mill FPS drivel that seems to be coming out at the moment.
So I decided to get the Mario Kart 8 Premium bundle and also with it I really wanted the new Mario Maker. The guy in the store (GAME) said they didn’t have it in stock, but eventually I got him to check his cupboard behind the till and what a surprise a copy of Mario Maker was there.
I must admit this new Mario game is awesome. I was brought up on the original Mario Bros game back on the NES so it’s great to be able to play, create and upload new levels of this classic. I’ll be talk more about Mario Maker in a later article, same goes for Mario Kart 8.
Controller Pad: This held a secret surprise which I totally wasn’t expecting. The Gamepad itself has an Infra-Red sensor in and has the ability to fully control your TV with it. What this basically means is that you don’t need to pick up every remote in your house to get your game session on, all you need to do is up this one device and away you.
The size of the console is relatively small, it’s even smaller than a slimline PS3.
Over the next week or so whilst I play Witcher 3 I’ll be doing some articles about my experience stay tuned.
